Immunohistochemistry analysis of HCN3 in frozen rat dorsal root ganglia (DRG) tissue sections using HCN3 Antibody (Product # PA5-111879) at a dilution of 1:50 followed by mouse anti-rabbit Alexa Fluor 555 (red). Staining is present in neuronal cell bodies. Hoechst 33342 (blue) is used as counterstain.

Reconstitute antibody with 50 µL of double distilled water (DDW). The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4 degrees C for up to 1 week. For longer periods, small aliquots should be stored at -20 degrees C. Avoid multiple freezing and thawing. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10000 x g 5 min).

HCN3 is a member of the family of hyperpolarization-activated and cyclic-nucleotide-gated (HCN) channels. HCN currents have been linked to pacemaker activity in the heart and brain, resting potential control, as well as neuronal plasticity. HCN3 has been detected in the brain, but with less expression than other HCN channels.
