HSPB2 Antibody (PA5-77826) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescent analysis of HSPB2 in human heat shocked HeLa cells. Sample was fixed with 2% formaldehyde (20 min at RT), incubated with HSPB2 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-77826) using a dilution of 1:100 (12 hours at 4°C), and followed by FITC Goat Anti-Rabbit (green) and DAPI secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:200 and 1:40,000 (2 hours at RT). Images are shown as follows: (A) DAPI (blue) nuclear stain, (B) Anti-HSPB2 Antibody, (C) Merged image. Magnification: 100x.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the superfamily of small heat-shock proteins containing a conservative alpha-crystallin domain at the C-terminal part of the molecule. The protein is expressed preferentially in the heart and skeletal muscle. This protein regulates Myotonic Dystrophy Protein Kinase, which plays an important role in maintenance of muscle structure and function.
