IL17B Antibody (MA5-23886) in Flow
Flow cytometry of IL17B in K562 human chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line. Samples were incubated in IL17B monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-23886) or isotype control antibody followed by Phycoerythrin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG F(ab)2 Secondary Antibody. To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with saponin.

In Western blots, approximately 25% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IL-17B is observed and no cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) IL-17, rhIL-17C, rhIL-17E or rhIL-17F is observed. In sandwich ELISAs, less than 0.5% cross-reactivity with rmIL-17B, and no cross-reactivity with rhIL-17C, rhIL-17D, rhIL-17E, rhIL-17F, or rhIL-17 is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

The protein encoded by this gene is a T cell-derived cytokine that shares sequence similarity with IL17. This cytokine was reported to stimulate the release of TNF alpha (TNF) and IL1 beta (IL1B) from a monocytic cell line. Immunohistochemical analysis of several nerve tissues indicated that this cytokine is primarily localized to neuronal cell bodies.
