Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
For reconstitution add 50 µL of sterile water.
Specific Species Reactivity: Recombiant PvLEA6-3
LEA6-3 encodes a late embryogenesis abundant (LEA) family protein that is predominantly associated with stress- and maturation-related expression programs in plants, with transcripts typically enriched during late seed development and inducible in vegetative tissues by dehydration-related cues such as drought, cold, salinity, and abscisic acid signaling. Consistent with the broader LEA protein repertoire, the LEA6-3 protein is expected to be small, highly hydrophilic, and enriched in low-complexity sequence that favors an intrinsically disordered conformation in aqueous conditions, with the capacity to gain secondary structure under water limitation; such physicochemical features are characteristic of LEA proteins that act as molecular shields. Functionally, LEA6-3 is best supported as a protective factor in cellular dehydration tolerance, helping stabilize proteins and membranes and limiting stress-associated damage (including oxidative stress) during drying or freezing, thereby contributing to seed desiccation tolerance and improved performance under abiotic stress conditions.
