MAP1LC3C Antibody (PA5-121185) in WB
Western blot analysis of MAP1LC3C in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with MAP1LC3C Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-121185) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Enhanced Kit. Exposure time: 90s.

MAP1LC3C, also named as LC3C, belongs to the MAP1 LC3 family. It is the human homolog of yeast Atg8 and is involved in the formation of autophagosomal vacuoles, called autophagosomes. LC3C is produced by the proteolytic cleavage after the conserved C-terminal Gly residue. The antibody is specific to the prepeptide of LC3C.
