This clone recognizes an intracellular antigen of mouse macrophages and monocytes. It reacts strongly with macrophages in lymphoid organs such as tingible body macrophages and macrophages in T cell dependant areas.
Membrane permeabilization is required for Flow Cytometry.
Macrophages are a large phagocytic cell found in stationary form in the tissues or as a mobile white blood cell, especially at sites of infection. Monocytes are a large phagocytic white blood cell with a simple oval nucleus and clear, grayish cytoplasm. Monocytes and macrophages are found in interdigitating cells and activated microglia cells.
