MA5-12383 targets Maspin in IHC (P) and WB applications and shows reactivity with human samples. In Western blot testing, this antibody did not cross-react with mouse samples.
The MA5-12383 immunogen is recombinant protein corresponding to N-terminal region of human Maspin.

SERPINB5 is a tumor suppressor. It blocks the growth, invasion, and metastatic properties of mammary tumors. As it does not undergo the S (stressed) to R (relaxed) conformational transition characteristic of active serpins, it exhibits no serine protease inhibitory activity.
