OLFM2 Antibody (PA5-48087) in WB
Western blot analysis of OLFM2 in human cortex and hippocampus tissue. Samples were incubated in OLFM2 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-48087) using a dilution of 1 µg/mL followed by a HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG secondary antibody. A specific band was detected for Olfactomedin‚2/Noelin‚2 at approximately 54 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions.

In direct ELISAs, approximately 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) Olfactomedin-1 is observed and less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Olfactomedin-4 and rmOlfactomedin-L3 is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Involved in transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta)-induced smooth muscle differentiation. TGF-beta induces expression and nuclear translocation of OLFM2 where it binds to SRF, causing its dissociation from the transcriptional repressor HEY2/HERP1 and facilitating binding of SRF to target genes. Plays a role in AMPAR complex organization.
