PARL Antibody (PA5-96978) in WB
Western blot analysis of PARL in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with PARL Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-96978) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 90s.

This gene encodes a mitochondrial integral membrane protein. Following proteolytic processing of this protein, a small peptide is formed and translocated to the nucleus. This gene may be involved in signal transduction via regulated intramembrane proteolysis of membrane-tethered precursor proteins. Variation in this gene has been associated with increased risk for type 2 diabetes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
