PDE1B Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunofluorescent analysis of PDE1B in MCF-7 cells using a PDE1B polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-98347) at a dilution of 1:50. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were counter-stained with DAPI.

PDE1B Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western Blot analysis of PDE1B using a PDE1B Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-98347). Positive WB detected in: MCF-7 whole cell lysate, A549 whole cell lysate, 293 whole cell lysate, Hela whole cell lysate. All lanes: PDE1B antibody at 1:1000. A secondary Goat polyclonal antibody to rabbit IgG was applied at a 1:50,000 dilution. Observed band size: 62 kDa.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase (PDE) family, and PDE1 subfamily. Members of the PDE1 family are calmodulin-dependent PDEs that are stimulated by a calcium-calmodulin complex. This PDE has dual-specificity for the second messengers, cAMP and cGMP, with a preference for cGMP as a substrate. cAMP and cGMP function as key regulators of many important physiological processes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.
