Detection of human and mouse PP2A by western blot (h&m) and immunoprecipitation (h). Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (5, 15 and 50 µg for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded), HEK293T (T; 50 µg), and mouse NIH 3T3 (M; 50 µg) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-PP2A antibody BL3130 (Product # A300-731A) used for WB at 0.04 µg/mL (A) and 1 µg/mL (B) and used for IP at 3 µg/mg lysate (B). This gene encodes the phosphatase 2A catalytic subunit. Protein phosphatase 2A is one of the four major Ser/Thr phosphatases, and it is implicated in the negative control of cell growth and division. It consists of a common heteromeric core enzyme, which is composed of a catalytic subunit and a constant regulatory subunit, that associates with a variety of regulatory subunits. This gene encodes a beta isoform of the catalytic subunit. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified for this gene.
