Phospho-DAPK1 (Ser736) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of DAPK1 only when phosphorylated at Ser736.
DAPK1 (death-associated protein kinase 1) is a calcium/calmodulin-dependent serine/threonine kinase involved in multiple cellular signaling pathways that trigger cell survival, apoptosis, and authophagy. It regulates both type I apoptotic and type II autophagic cell death signal, depending on the cellular setting. Type I apoptotic cell death is caspase-dependent, type II authophagic cell death is caspase-independent. DAPK1 phosphorylates PIN1 resulting in inhibition of its catalytic activity, nuclear localization, and cellular function. It also phosphorylates TPM1, STX1A, PRKD1, BECN1, TSC2, RPS6, MYL9, and DAPK3.
