PA1-26725 detects Insulin Receptor / IGF1R (phospho Y1158 + Y1162 + Y1163) from human and mouse samples. PA1-26725 is expected to cross react with rat (100% conserved) due to sequence homology.
PA1-26725 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures.
The PA1-26725 immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to a portion of IR/IGF1R containing tyrosines 1158, 1162, and 1163 of human insulin receptor (tyrosines 1131, 1135 and 1136 in IGF1R).
IGF-1R (Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 Receptor) consists of alpha- and beta-subunits, which are disulfide-linked in a beta-alpha-alpha-beta configuration in the mature receptor. The alpha-subunit is completely extracellular, while the beta-subunit spans the membrane and the intracellular portion has intrinsic tyrosine kinase activity.
