RILPL1 Antibody (A305-192A) in IP
Detection of human RILPL1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-RILPL1 antibody (Product # A305-192A) (lot 1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. RILPL1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-RILPL1 antibody BL20460. For blotting immunoprecipitated RILPL1, A305-192A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Plays a role in the regulation of cell shape and polarity. Plays a role in cellular protein transport, including protein transport away from primary cilia. Neuroprotective protein, which acts by sequestring GAPDH in the cytosol and prevent the apoptotic function of GAPDH in the nucleus. Competes with SIAH1 for binding GAPDH. Does not regulate lysosomal morphology and distribution (PubMed:14668488). Binds to RAB10 following LRRK2-mediated RAB10 phosphorylation which leads to inhibition of ciliogenesis (PubMed:30398148).
