MA1-25426 detects RNA polymerase sigma 70 from most bacteria samples. MA1-25426 is extremely useful for identifying the major sigma factor from a variety of bacteria, (including E.Coli Sigma F), however it does not react with Borellia burgdorferi.
MA1-25426 has been successfully used in Western blot and Immunoprecipitation procedures. The predicted molecular weight is 70.2 kDa.
The MA1-25426 immunogen is recombinant, full length protein. The epitope recognized by this antibody corresponds to residues 470-486.
