SETDB1 Antibody (PA1-28084) in WB
Western blot analysis of SETDB1 using A) Whole cell lysate (10µg for T; 50µg for E) from 293T cells that were mock transfected (E) or transfected with a SETDB1 expression construct (T) and B) Whole cell lysate (2 mg) from 293T cells that were mock transfected (E) or transfected with a SETDB1 expression construct (T). Samples were probed with a SETDB1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA1-28084) at a dilution of 0.2µg/ml (A) and 1µg/mg lysate for IP (B). Detection was performed using chemiluminescence with exposure times of 1 to 5 minutes.

This gene encodes a histone methyltransferase. The encoded enzyme catalyzes the reaction of S-adenosyl-L-methionine and histone L-lysine to produce S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine and histone N(6)-methyl-L-lysine. The encoded protein likely functions in transcriptional repression. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
