Detection of human SNX16 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from Jurkat cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-SNX16 antibody A305-722A-M (lot A305-722A-M-1) used for IP at 8 µl per reaction. SNX16 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-SNX16 antibody A305-721A-M. This gene encodes a member of the sorting nexin family. Members of this family contain a phox domain, which is a phosphoinositide binding domain, and are involved in intracellular trafficking. The function of this protein has not been determined. This gene results in three transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms.
