TRIM22 Antibody (720263) in WB
Western blot analysis was performed on tissue extracts (30 µg lysate) of U937 (Lane 1) THP1 (Lane 2) Mouse Spleen (Lane3) and Rat pancreas (Lane 4). The blots were probed with Anti-TRIM22 Rabbit Polyclonal antibody (Product # 720263, 1-2 µg/mL) and detected by chemiluminescence using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (Heavy Chain) Superclonal™ Secondary Antibody, HRP conjugate (Product # A27036, 0.4 µg/mL, 1:2500 dilution). TRIM22 is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. It localizes to the cytoplasm and its expression is induced by interferon. The protein down-regulates transcription from the HIV-1 LTR promoter region, suggesting that function of this protein may be to mediate interferon's antiviral effects.
