Metabolomics offers deep insights into biological systems, revealing the biochemistry of individuals, plants, animals, microbiomes, exposomes, and lifestyle factors. For this potential to be realized, it's crucial to identify putative metabolites with confident annotation and determine which analytes to transition into targeted methods. The challenge lies in characterizing species' metabolomes when many components remain uncharacterized and lack reference standards for validation.
Join this live webinar to learn how the Patti lab developed comprehensive LC-MSⁿ techniques for profiling biological samples using novel untargeted data acquisition schemes and software. Thermo Scientific Orbitrap-based mass spectrometers filter 5,000–20,000 features into ~1,500 unique features, including knowns, known unknowns, and unknowns. Thermo Scientific™ Stellar™ mass spectrometer innovations will be highlighted for their use in targeted quantitation of identified metabolites with fast gradients for larger studies.
Our speakers will discuss key features such as fast and sensitive MS, MS², and MS³ acquisition for highly multiplexed targeted data acquisition methods using HCD and CID, along with automated instrument control for fast, sensitive, and reproducible data acquisition to verify putative biomarkers.
English subtitles will be provided for this webinar and a Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to all attendees of the live webcast.
