With 23 years of experience in cryo-EM, Tim’s expertise encompasses structural biology, workflow strategy, and core facility management. In his current role, he is responsible for promoting and supporting accessible solutions that lower barriers for those new to TEM and cryo-EM and provide the most straightforward and economical approach to reaching higher data quality and structural resolutions.
Veer specializes in various life sciences applications in TEM, including electron tomography, room-temperature TEM imaging, cryogenic electron microscopy, single particle analysis, and microcrystal electron diffraction. In this role, he acquires and processes data, often to support research and instrument grants, and delivers training in life sciences TEM applications. Veer also enjoys helping generate best practices and simplified workflows in the field.
Shuxin holds a PhD in structural biology from the University of Utah, where she utilized protein biochemistry and advanced cryo-EM techniques to investigate the structural information of various proteins to understand their physiological function. Currently, she performs high-quality TEM product demonstrations, providing comprehensive training and technical support to customers. Her role involves translating customer needs into innovative solutions, technical presentations, and post-sales support.
