Livia Schiavinato Eberlin, Ph.D.​Professor & Vice-Chair for Research, Department of Surgery, Baylor College of Medicine

 

Livia Schiavinato Eberlin, Ph.D., is a Professor and Vice-Chair for Research in the Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Trained in chemistry and analytical chemistry, her research focuses on developing and applying novel mass spectrometry technologies for cancer detection, diagnosis, and improved patient care. She is the recipient of numerous honors, including NIH awards, a Forbes 30 Under 30 recognition, a McArthur Fellowship, and the Norman Hackerman Award from the Welch Foundation.

Michael Marty, Ph.D.​ Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, University of Texas at Austin

 

Michael Marty, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at The University of Texas at Austin. His research centers on mass spectrometry methods to study membrane proteins and their surrounding lipid environments. He is the recipient of multiple honors, including an NSF CAREER Award, ASMS Research Award, and NIH NIGMS MIRA Award.

Rahul Deshpande, Ph.D.​ Vertical Marketing Manager, Thermo Fisher Scientific

 

Rahul Deshpande, Ph.D., is a Vertical Marketing Manager within the Omics Applications team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. With a background in metabolomics and fluxomics, his work focuses on developing advanced metabolomics and lipidomics workflows, including stable isotope studies and single-cell analysis. His recent efforts include innovations in fragmentation strategies and confidence-driven annotation workflows.

Kevin Yang, Ph.D.​ Product Specialist, Thermo Fisher Scientific​

 

Kevin Yang, Ph.D., is a Product Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, specializing in proteomics and quantitative mass spectrometry workflows. He earned his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of California, Riverside. His work includes the development of DIA and tandem mass tag–based quantification workflows, as well as customer-driven applications and publications.
