Moonkyoung (MK) So, Ph.D. is a Bioprocessing Workflow Advisor and Sr. Manager leading the Field Application Team at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Korea. She has over 20 years of R&D experience in cell line, cell culture process, and comprehensive CMC for recombinant proteins, including monoclonal antibodies, within the biotherapeutic industry.
Hachmann, Anna-Barbara, Sr Manager, Research & Development, Thermo Fisher Scientific
Anna-Barbara Hachmann is currently Sr Manager in Bioproduction R&D at Thermo Fisher Scientific. She leads development of new cell culture media and supplements for protein production, vaccine, cell and gene therapy applications. Dr. Hachmann obtained her Ph.D. at Cornell University and worked as postdoctoral fellow at the Antimicrobial Discovery Center, Northeastern University and Harvard Medical School. Before joining the Gibco team, she investigated antibiotic resistance mechanisms and identified novel species-specific antibiotics as part of the NIH Human Microbiome Project.
Garima Mishra, Manager, APJ Cell Culture & Cell Therapy Field Application Scientist, Thermo Fisher Scientific
Garima Mishra currently serves as the Field Application Scientist Manager for Asia Pacific & Japan supporting Cell Culture & Cell Therapy business unit of Bioproduction Group. She has been with Thermo Fisher Scientific for four years. Garima is an experienced biotechnology professional with over 18 years of career in biologics drug development. Her key expertise covers chemistry manufacturing and control (CMC) including cell line engineering and development, early-stage process development, analytics, and product development. She has established Quality by Design (QbD) based workflows for in-house cell line development and ESD (early-stage development). Garima is Molecular and Cell Biologist by training and she has worked in the manufacturing sciences and recombinant protein production by driving innovation in both technologies and workflows throughout the development of product pipeline. She has bachelor’s degree in biology from Agra University, and Master of Science in Biochemistry from Bangalore University. Prior to joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, Garima has held R&D roles in Biocon, Pfizer Biologics, Dr. Reddy's Laboratory and Reliance Life Science.
Yaru Hu, Ph.D. Principal Scientist, Shanghai non-GMP Pilot Plant, WuXi Biologics
Dr. Hu has extensive experience in scale-up technologies for upstream cell culture bioreactors and has participated in over 40 early and late-stage iCMC projects for global filings. Previously, she served as a Technical Expert in the Bioprocess Group of Thermo Fisher Scientific China.
Seunghyun So, Manager, Product Specialists, Thermo Fisher Scientific
Seonghyun So is Senior Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific’s BioProduction Group, leading the Single-Use Bioprocess Equipment & Consumables division in Korea. With over a decade of experience in bioprocessing and R&D, he specializes in implementing scalable single-use solutions for monoclonal antibodies, cell and gene therapy, vaccines, and other advanced modalities. Combining technical expertise with commercial insight, he collaborates with biopharmaceutical manufacturers to design flexible facility and equipment strategies that drive innovation and enhance production efficiency.
Nirbhay Gandhi, Staff Scientist - Purification, Thermo Fisher Scientific
Nirbhay Gandhi is a biopharmaceutical professional with over 16 years of experience in downstream processing (DSP) and purification technologies. At Thermo Fisher Scientific, he supports purification-focused technical applications and business initiatives across the APJ region. He has extensive expertise in process development, scale-up, optimization, and validation for diverse biologics, including mAbs, AAV, mRNA, and vaccines. Specialized in advanced chromatography applications (affinity, IEX, HIC, and mixed-mode), he combines strong technical consultancy with commercial insight to enable flexible facility strategies and enhance production efficiency for customers.
Soo Min Noh, Field Application Scientist, Thermo Fisher Scientific
Soo Min Noh, Ph.D. is a Field Application Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific Korea. She received both her B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from KAIST. Her research focused on characterization of the CHO-GS expression system and optimization of therapeutic protein production through metabolic engineering. She has extensive R&D experience in cell line development and upstream process development for recombinant protein manufacturing.
Wooyeon Kim, Ph.D., CEO & Co-founder, HITS
Dr. Wooyeon Kim is the CEO and Co-founder of HITS and a Professor at KAIST in the Departments of Chemistry and AI. He earned his B.S. in Chemistry and Physics and Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry from POSTECH and previously conducted research at the Max Planck Institute. A leading expert in AI-driven drug discovery and computational chemistry, Dr. Kim has led numerous national R&D programs in foundation models, virtual screening, molecular design, reaction prediction, and biomedical AI. He currently serves as a member of Korea’s National Bio Innovation Committee and an advisor to the National AI Strategy Committee, contributing to the advancement of AI and biotechnology innovation.
Selina Tillmann, Ph.D., Global Head Bioprocess Applications, Thermo Fisher Scientific
Dr. Selina Tillmann is a global leader in bioprocessing technologies with a background spanning scientific research, technical applications, and commercial leadership. She holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and has extensive experience supporting biopharmaceutical manufacturers worldwide in the development and optimization of advanced purification processes. She currently leads a global team of bioprocessing experts, working closely with customers across regions to accelerate the adoption of innovative manufacturing technologies and translate scientific advances into measurable business value. In her current role, Dr. Tillmann is responsible for driving the global strategy and adoption of next-generation purification solutions, helping biopharmaceutical companies improve process performance, manufacturing efficiency, and overall economics.
Yeonuk Jeong, Bioprocess Design Center Lead, Thermo Fisher Scientific
With over 20 years of experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, Yeonuk Jeong is a Senior Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, leading activities within the Bioprocess Design Center (BDC) in Korea. He specializes in process design–driven projects, supporting customers in developing practical and scalable manufacturing solutions. He led and contributed to the setup of large-scale biologics manufacturing facilities, including Celltrion Plant 1 and Samsung Biologics Plants 1 and 2, covering process design, validation, and operational readiness. He further expanded his expertise through process optimization, validation, and regulatory readiness initiatives at Janssen and Moderna. He designs end-to-end cell culture processes using single-use technologies, quantifying CAPEX, OPEX, footprint, and timelines. By benchmarking against traditional stainless steel systems, he enables data-driven decisions and optimal manufacturing strategies.
