This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-84587. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

(MW 23 kDa) Reactivity with resting and activated platelets, weakly on monocytes, megakaryocytes and attachment site for the platelet plasma membrane to the submembrane cytoskeleton. GPIb/IX complex, functions as the receptor for ristocetin-induced binding of von Willebrand factor and as the von Willebrand factor-depend adhesion receptor.
