This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-53806. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

It acts as a substrate-adapter for CUL3-RING ubiquitin ligase complexes which mediate the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of TCHP, a protein involved in ciliogenesis down-regulation (PubMed:25270598). May be involved in endoplasmic reticulum calcium ion homeostasis (PubMed:25983243).
