This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-56659. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

The Motile sperm domain-containing protein 1 (MOSPD1) is part of a family of proteins defined by the presence of a major sperm protein (MSP) domain and two transmembrane domains. MOSPD1 codes for a small protein that localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and the Golgi apparatus and has been suggested to play a role in the developmental regulation at the switch between mesenchymal and epithelial cells.
