The Human OC (Osteocalcin) ELISA quantitates OC in serum and plasma.
原理方法
The Human Osteocalcin (OC) solid-phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is designed to measure the concentration of Osteocalcin (OC) in biological samples. A target-specific antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Samples, standards, or controls are added into these wells and bind to the immobilized (capture) antibody.
The sandwich complex is formed by the addition of a second (HRP-linked) detection antibody specific to Osteocalcin (OC). Excess reagents are washed from the plate.
A substrate solution is added that reacts with the enzyme-antibody-target complex to produce a measurable signal. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution. The intensity of the signal, measured spectrophotometrically at 450 ± 2 nm, is directly proportional to the concentration of Osteocalcin (OC) present in the original specimen.

靶标信息
Osteocalcin belongs to the osteocalcin/matrix Gla-protein family and constitutes 1-2% of the total bone protein. It binds strongly to apatite and calcium. Gamma-carboxyglutamate residues are formed by vitamin K dependent carboxylation. These residues are essential for the binding of calcium.
