What color is the precipitate formed from the reaction of 1-Step NBT/BCIP plus Suppressor Substrate Solution and Alkaline Phosphatase?

The precipitate formed by the combination of NBT (nitro-blue tetrazolium) and BCIP (5-bromo-4-chloro-3'-indolyphosphate p-toluidine salt) is dark purple in color.

Why does the 1-Step NBT/BCIP plus Suppressor Substrate Solution contain 1 mM levamisole?

Levamisole is an inhibitor of Alkaline Phosphatase from non-calf intestinal sources. It will cut down on background signal from endogenous alkaline phosphatases.
