What is the target specificity of the TaqMan Campylobacter jejuni Detection Kit (P/N 4366098)?

The kit demonstrates 100% inclusivity for 27 strains of Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli and 100% exclusivity for 29 other Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli strains. For more specific information, please refer to “Appendix A: Specificity” of the TaqMan Campylobacter jejuni Detection Kit Protocol. Why are each of the individual components in the TaqMan Pathogen Detections Kits color-coded?

Each individual component in the TaqMan Pathogen Detection Kits is color-coded in order to best distinguish between the 2X Environmental Master Mix, the negative control and the 10X Target Assay Mix (TAM). Yellow coded vials are 2X Environmental Master Mix, the white coded vial is the negative control solution, and the 10X Target Assay Mix (TAM) which is associated with a specific organism is a gray-labeled vial.
