Is the 2X Environmental Master Mix the same as the TaqMan Universal PCR Master Mix, with or without UNG?
No, the 2X Environmental Master Mix (EMM) is not the same as the TaqMan Universal PCR Master Mix (with or without AmpErase UNG). The 2X Environmental Master Mix is specifically formulated to detect specific bacterial pathogens with greater specificity and sensitivity. It includes AmpliTaq Gold DNA Polymerase, LD, which is a highly purified version of AmpliTaq Gold DNA Polymerase. Every effort has been made in the development of this new polymerase to eliminate bacterial DNA from the enzyme preparation.

Is there a mastermix that I can use with fecal samples?
