The TaqMan RNase P Instrument Verification Kit is used to validate the performance of Applied Biosystems real-time PCR systems with 96-well block. The plate preloaded with the necessary reagents to detect and quantitate genomic copies of the human RNase P gene, a single-copy gene encoding the RNA moiety of the RNase P enzyme. Each well contains preloaded reaction mix (1X TaqMan Universal PCR Master Mix, RNase P primers, and FAM dye-labeled probe) and template.

TheTaqMan RNase P Instrument Verification Kit must demonstrate the ability to distinguish between 5,000 and 10,000 genomic equivalents with a 99.7% confidence level for a subsequent sample run in a single well. To ensure accurate results, we recommend that the performance of your instrument be verified every six months.

Can I import a standard curve for my real-time PCR data into the Design & Analysis Software (v2.x)?

It is possible to import a standard curve into the Design & Analysis Software (v2.x) if you are analyzing results from one of the following Applied Biosystems real-time PCR instruments:

• StepOne/StepOne Plus Real-Time PCR System

Follow the instructions below to import a standard curve for analysis in the Design & Analysis Software (v2.x):
1. Open the data file in the Design & Analysis Software (v2.x).
2. Click on Actions.
3. Click on "Standard Curve Analysis Setting".
4. Select "External Standard Curves" and click on "Import".
5. Browse to the proper .csv file and click "Open".
6. Click "Apply".
