ANGPTL4 Antibody (710186) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescence analysis of ANGPTL4 was performed using 70% confluent log phase HUVEC cells treated with 150uM of Cobalt Chloride for 24 h. The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton™ X-100 for 10 minutes, and blocked with 2% BSA for 1 hour at room temperature. Angiopoietin-like protein 4 (ANGPTL4), is a secreted protein selectively expressed in adipose tissue, liver, and placenta1-3 that plays a variety of roles in vivo, ranging from adipogenesis to angiogenesis to carcinogenesis. The expression of ANGPTL4 is also under nutritional and hormonal control. ANGPTL4 has been observed to induce a strong pro-angiogenic response independent of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and its expression has been described in hypoxic human tissues as well as a variety of cancers, including liposarcoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and conventional renal cell carcinoma.
