Cardiomyocyte Isolation Enzyme 2 (with thermolysin) is a tissue-specific dissociation reagent for the isolation of primary cardiomyocytes from neonatal heart tissue from mouse/rat and is a component of the Thermo Scientific™ Pierce™ Primary Cardiomyocyte Isolation Kit (Product No. 88281).
Thermolysin is a thermostable extracellular metalloendopeptidase. When used with Cardiomyocyte Isolation Enzyme 1 (with papain), it improves digestion efficiency and cell yield of primary cardiomyocytes.
