Can I use FFPE samples with the RNA Quantification Kit for SYBR Green I and ROX Passive Reference Dye?

No, we do not recommend using FFPE samples with the Applied Biosystems RNA Quantification Kit. The purpose of the RNA Quantification Kit is to determine if a degraded or low input sample has enough total RNA to run a WT and/or IVT Pico assay. If this kit is used with FFPE samples, the amount of RNA in the sample may be overestimated due to interference from reagents used when formalin-fixing and paraffin embedding the samples.
