The BSA should be Fraction V, defatted BSA. 'Fraction V' is derived from Cohn method of fractionation using cold ethanol precipitation. The use of chilled ethanol in the Cohn fractionation process preserves the native albumin structure.

We have not tested this with serum albumins from other species, but it may work. The serum albumin should be highly purified, delipidated (Fraction V defatted), and free of antibodies.
