The 5L and 10L kits are designed so that the entire volume of the supplement BPC (bioprocess container) is added to the basal medium BPC.

The supplement BPC (bioprocess container) has 24 in. of sterile weldable 3/32 in. ID, 5/32 in. OD DHEP-free PVC tubing. With fill volumes of 130 mL and 260 mL for the 5L and 10L kits respectively, the supplement BPC can be directly welded to the basal medium BPC.

In the 5L and 10L sizes of CTS OpTmizer SFM, no phenol red and CTS OpTmizer Pro SFM, both the basal medium and supplement components are in BPCs (bioprocess containers) composed of Aegis 5-14 film. The basal medium BPC has PVC and C-Flex lines whereas the supplement BPC has a PVC line.
