The Applied Biosystems MagMAX CORE disruption modules are a sample preparation system designed to complement the MagMAX CORE Nucleic Acid Purification Kit. This modular technology is optimized for the purification of nucleic acids from a wide range of sample matrices commonly submitted for veterinary diagnostic testing. The MagMAX CORE disruption modules aid in the processing of hard-to-lyse organisms like Mycobacterium avium paratuberculosis (MAP).

There are two options of module depending on workflow and throughput needs:

  • MagMAX CORE Disruption Tubes Module, 100 reactions, contains bead beating tubes prefilled with zirconia beads and a 200-mL bottle of pure clarifying solution for effective disruption of individual samples
  • MagMAX CORE Disruption Plates Module, 500 reactions, contains 96-deep-well plates prefilled with zirconia beads and a 1-L bottle of pure clarifying solution for effective disruption of a higher number of samples
