Can I use Efficient-Pro Feed 1 with other cell lines besides CHO-K1 cell line variants?

Efficient-Pro Feed 1 has been designed specifically for CHO-K1 cells; however, it has been demonstrated to improve performance in other CHO variants and even other parental cell lines.

How often and at what concentration should I feed my CHO cells with Efficient-Pro Feed 1?

The comprehensive feed protocol for Efficient-Pro Feed 1 is included in the user guide (https://assets.thermofisher.com/TFS-Assets/LSG/manuals/MAN0025905_EfficientProFeed1_UG.pdf). We recommend first designing a small-scale experiment using an Ambr15 Microbioreactor or other small vessel with concentrations between 1.5% to 3.0% of Efficient-Pro Feed 1 in 0.5% increments beginning on day 3, with daily feeds through harvest. Once the specific feeding strategy is tailored to your CHO cell system for optimized results, cultures can be scaled up to larger vessels and bioreactors.
