5 个常见问题解答

Is the purified viral nucleic acid that is obtained using MagMAX Wastewater Ultra Nucleic Acid Isolation Kit completely inhibitor-free?

The MagMAX Wastewater Ultra Nucleic Acid Isolation Kit allows elimination of the vast majority of diverse inhibitors of enzymatic reactions, even from the most diluted and challenging samples such as wastewater. In very rare instances, if some inhibitors still remain within the purified nucleic acid, the sample can be diluted 10-20X prior to downstream PCR or other applications.

Is concentration of wastewater required prior to nucleic acid isolation?

Starting volumes of ≤1 mL can be processed using the MagMAX Wastewater Ultra Nucleic Acid Isolation Kit without concentration. Larger wastewater volumes must first be concentrated using ultracentrifugation, precipitation, or concentration with Dynabeads (use the MagMAX Wastewater Ultra Nucleic Acid Isolation Kit, with Virus Enrichment, Cat. No. A52610 for this protocol).

What starting volume of wastewater can be used with the MagMAX Wastewater Ultra Nucleic Acid Isolation Kit?

The MagMAX Wastewater Ultra Nucleic Acid Isolation Kit is compatible with starting volumes of 200 µL to 1 mL.

How long is the protocol for the MagMAX Wastewater Ultra Nucleic Acid Isolation Kit?

The MagMAX Wastewater Ultra Nucleic Acid Isolation Kit protocol takes 45 mins to get from sample to extracted nucleic acid.

Is the MagMAX Wastewater Ultra Nucleic Acid Isolation Kit automation-compatible?

The MagMAX Wastewater Ultra Nucleic Acid Isolation Kit is compatible with the KingFisher Flex, APEX, and Duo instruments, and can also be used for manual processing in 24- and 96-well plates.
