Cross-reactivity was observed with the following organisms when using the TrueMark STI Select Panel, Combo Kit:
Organism Pentatrichomonas hominis -> Cross-reactive target: Trichomonas vaginalis
Organism Trichomonas tenax -> Cross-reactive target: Trichomonas vaginalis

What is the approximate workflow time for running the TrueMark STI Select Panel, Combo Kit assay starting from sample preparation?

It takes approximately 3 hrs for running the TrueMark STI Select Panel, Combo Kit assay, starting from sample preparation to obtaining the Ct value.

With the TrueMark STI Select Panel, Combo Kit and TrueMark STI Amplification Control, how long can I hold the reagents/reaction before starting the procedure?

TrueMark STI Select Panel: Once thawed, the assay is stable for up to 8 hrs at 2-8 degrees C. Do not exceed 5 freeze-thaws.
TrueMark STI Amplification Control: Once thawed, the amplification control should be used immediately and returned to -30 to -10 degrees C. Do not exceed 5 freeze-thaws.
Assembled RT‑PCR reaction plate: The assembled RT-PCR reaction plate is stable for up to 60 mins at 2-8 degrees C.

What should I use as negative control with the TrueMark STI Select Panel, Combo Kit?

We recommend using nuclease-free water as the negative control with the TrueMark STI Select Panel, Combo Kit.

Are there any trial sizes/sample products available for the TrueMark STI Select Panel, Combo Kit?

No, the TrueMark STI Select Panel, Combo Kit is only available in a 200 reaction size volume at this time.

What is the recommended concentration for the positive amplification control used with the TrueMark STI Select Panel, Combo Kit?

The TrueMark STI Amplification Control (Cat. No. A57009) is provided at a concentration of 1x10E5 copies/µL. To obtain a working solution of the control, please follow the instructions provided on page 8, steps 3a and 3b, of the TrueMark STI Select Panel, Combo Kit user guide (https://assets.thermofisher.com/TFS-Assets/LSG/manuals/MAN0028493-TrueMarkSTISelectPanel-UG-RUO-EN.pdf). 17.5 µL of the diluted control is then added to a final reaction volume of 25 µL (see page 9, step 5b of the user guide (https://assets.thermofisher.com/TFS-Assets/LSG/manuals/MAN0028493-TrueMarkSTISelectPanel-UG-RUO-EN.pdf). This amounts to 200 copies of the control in the final reaction, i.e., 8 copies/µL.
