What is the purpose of the Olympus correction collar (Cat. Nos. AMEP4765EO, AMEP4763EO, AMEP4764EO, AMEP4849)?

The Olympus correction collar (Cat. Nos. AMEP4765EO, AMEP4763EO, AMEP4764EO, AMEP4849) can be used to adjust the working distance of the objective for the respective vessel/glass thickness. This allows you to use the same objective to image through different thicknesses of glass/plastic. Objectives without such a correction collar are generally only suited for a single thickness (e.g., 0.17 mm, 1 mm, or 1.2 mm).
