InstaFill™ Tubing for InstaPrep™ DryBag™ Hydration

The InstaFill™ Tubing for InstaPrep™ and DryBag™ Hydration is designed for use with the InstaFill™ Peristaltic Pump or other compatible peristaltic pumps. The assembly includes a 6.4 mm diameter pump tubing section positioned between the yellow cable ties, which is placed within the pump clamp during operation. One end of the tubing connects to the InstaPrep™ or Dry-Bag™ filter. A 6.4 mm sinker weight (not included) may be attached to the opposite end and is available as an optional add-on for this SKU.

The following components are needed to hydrate the InstaPrep™ Bag or DryBag™. For detailed instructions, see the InstaPrep™ Buffered Peptone Water 10x Concentrate User Guide.

• InstaFill™ Peristaltic Pump or any laboratory grade peristaltic pump (Cat. No. DB7001IN or equivalent)
• InstaFill™ Tubing Set (Cat. No. DB7018WMH)
• 6.4 mm sinker weight
• InstaPrep™ Bag with filter or DryBag™ with filter (filter can be purchased separately (Cat. No. DB0200A)
• A weighing balance suitable to weigh out 8220 ± 20 g of Type 2 water; aliquots may be weighed using a lower-capacity balance if necessary
• Fresh Type 2 water

Sterilization and reuse

Place the tubing assembly into a sterilization bag with the inlet and outlet connections uncovered, and ensure the pinch clamps are open. Autoclave at 121°C for 30 minutes. Tubing may be reused for up to 20 autoclave cycles without significant changes to performance. Replace tubing if damage, leakage, or material degradation is observed, especially with the rotary tubing section where most wear and tear is observed.
