What is the shelf life of the HCS CellMask Near-IR Stain?

As shipped, the product has a warranty period of 1 year from the date of shipment. Once the solid stain is resolubilized in DMSO, it should be stored frozen, desiccated, and protected from light and is useable for ~ 6 months.

What are the components of the HCS CellMask Near-IR Stain and how should I store them?

Each HCS CellMask Stain provides sufficient material for labeling approximately 10 x 96-well plates using an assay volume of 100 µL. The product is shipped as two components: a single vial of 250 µg of solid Near-IR Stain (Component A) and a single vial of 100 µL of DMSO (Component B).

We recommend storing Component A at ≤ -20 degrees C, desiccated and protected from light and Component B desiccated at ≤ 25 degrees C.

What dyes are used to make the CellMask stains?

The proprietary fluorescent dyes in the CellMask stains are general cytoplasmic stains. They are not found to bind to any specific cellular component.
