We would highly recommend using the provided Elution Buffer in the elution step for best results. You may use nuclease-free water; however, it may affect the yield of the nucleic acids during purification and their stability during storage.
The GeneJET spin columns are compatible with vacuum manifolds of standard size (e.g. Qiagen, Sigma-Aldrich, Promega). However, not all GeneJET kits are supported with a vacuum protocol. Please refer to the particular kit protocol for the detailed procedure.
GeneJET PCR Purification Kit is designed for PCR reaction clean-up. The kit can be used for gel extraction by following the protocol of GeneJET Gel Extraction Kit, but DNA yield may be compromised. For best performance of DNA gel extraction, we recommend to use GeneJET Gel Extraction Kit. For a 3-in-1 kit for purification of PCR products from enzymatic reaction mixtures and agarose gels, we recommend GeneJET Gel Extraction and DNA Cleanup Micro Kit (Cat. Nos. K0831/2).
GeneJET PCR Purification Kit can be used for enzymatic clean-up. Please follow the PCR reaction clean-up protocol.
We recommend performing centrifugation steps at room temperature when the temperature is not specified.
No, we do not offer GeneJET columns or MagJET magnetic beads separately at this time.
Yes, we offer Binding Buffer for GeneJET Gel Extraction Kit as a stand-alone product: Cat. No. R1331.
