MA1-34651 detects Cytokeratin 8 + 18 from human samples.
MA1-34651 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin tissue) applications. Staining of formalin fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
The MA1-34651 immunogen is a full length native protein (purified from Human breast cancer MCF-7 cells).

Keratin 8 belongs to the type B (basic) subfamily of high molecular weight keratins and exists in combination with cytokeratin 18 (type A; acidic subfamily of low molecular weight keratins).
