SETDB1 Antibody (MA5-14960) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescence analysis of SETDB1 was performed using 70% confluent log phase MCF7 cells. The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton™ X-100 for 15 minutes, and blocked with 2% BSA for 1 hour at room temperature. This gene encodes a histone methyltransferase. The encoded enzyme catalyzes the reaction of S-adenosyl-L-methionine and histone L-lysine to produce S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine and histone N(6)-methyl-L-lysine. The encoded protein likely functions in transcriptional repression. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
