HIPK1 Antibody (MA5-26853) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry was performed on paraffin-embedded carcinoma of human prostate tissue. To expose target proteins, 1 mM EDTA in 10mM Tris, pH8.5, 120°C for 3min was used. Following antigen retrieval, tissues were probed with a HIPK1 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-26853).

HIPK1 phosphorylates homeodomain transcription factors and may also function as a co-repressor for homeodomain transcription factors. The protein encoded by HIPK1 belongs to the Ser/Thr family of protein kinases and HIPK subfamily. Alternative splicing results in four transcript variants encoding four distinct isoforms.
