USP21 Antibody (MA5-34953) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescent analysis of USP21 in 293T cells (green). Samples were formalin fixed, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS (1 hour, room temperature) and blocked with 1% BSA (15 min, room temperature), incubated with USP21 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-34953) at a dilution of 1:50 (1 hour, room temperature), and followed by Alexa Fluor 488 Goat anti-Rabbit IgG and DAPI (blue) with a dilution of 1:1000.

This gene encodes a member of the C19 peptidase family, also known as family 2 of ubiquitin carboxy-terminal hydrolases. The encoded protein cleaves ubiquitin from ubiquitinated proteins for recycling in intracellular protein degradation. The encoded protein is also able to release NEDD8, a ubiquitin-like protein, from NEDD8-conjugated proteins. This gene has been referred to as USP16 and USP23 but is now known as USP21. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
