PLP1 Antibody (MA5-37605) in WB
Western Blot analysis of PLP1 using the PLP1 Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-37605) at a 1:1000 dilution. Lane 1: C6 whole cell lysate, Lane 2: Hela whole cell lysate, Lane 3: mouse cerebellum lysate. Lysates/proteins were loaded at 20 µg per lane. Secondary Goat Anti-mouse IgG, (H+L), Peroxidase conjugated at 1:10,000 dilution. Predicted band size : 30 kDa. Blocking/Dilution buffer: 5% NFDM/TBST.

PLP1 is a transmembrane proteolipid protein that is the predominant myelin protein present in the central nervous system. It may play a role in the compaction, stabilization, and maintenance of myelin sheaths, as well as in oligodendrocyte development and axonal survival. Mutations in this gene cause X-linked Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease and spastic paraplegia type 2.
