Ceruloplasmin Antibody (MA5-41563) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) analysis of Ceruloplasmin in porcine liver tissue using Ceruloplasmin Monoclonal Antibody (C1) (Product # MA5-41563) (10 µg/mL) and using PBS intead of the primary antibody as a control. The sample was then stained with HRP-Goat anti-Mouse IgG polyclonal secondary antibody (2 µg/mL). DAB staining.

Ceruloplasmin encodes a protein that is a metalloprotein that binds most of the copper in plasma and is involved in the peroxidation of Fe(II)transferrin to Fe(III) transferrin. Mutations in this gene cause aceruloplasminemia, which results in iron accumulation and tissue damage, and is associated with diabetes and neurologic abnormalities.
