CEACAM6 Antibody (MA5-42402) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry-Immunofluorescence analysis of of CEACAM6 in HT-29 cells (green). Formalin fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 10 minutes at room temperature and blocked with 1% Blocker BSA for 15 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with CEACAM6 Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-42402) at a dilution of 1:50 for 1 hour at room temperature, washed with PBS. Alexa Fluor 488 Goat anti-Mouse IgG was used as the secondary antibody at 1:1,000 dilution. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue).

CEA Cell Adhesion Molecule 6 (CEACAM6) belongs to the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family whose members are glycosyl phosphatidyl inositol (GPI) anchored cell surface glycoproteins. Members of this family play a role in cell adhesion and are widely used as tumor markers in serum immunoassay determinations of carcinoma. CEACAM6 affects the sensitivity of tumor cells to adenovirus infection. The acts as a receptor for adherent-invasive E. coli adhesion to the surface of ileal epithelial cells in patients with Crohn's disease.
